A few months ago, a note being passed around Facebook became so popular that it found its way in print media. And even as I am all about randomness, I couldn't find time to post 25 random things about myself. Who knew randomness required that much thought!
2 weeks ago while under therapy-room-cleaning mode, I unearthed one of my old journals that I have completely forgotten about. Lifting through the pages, I think it's kinda funny. Sometimes things we wished for when we were young do actually come true! Maybe not eternal dream of becoming the next top model but hey...
25 Things I have to do by 25

1. Engaged to someone I am absolutely crazy in love with. (One month shy from my 26th birthday, dear fiance asked those four little words that made this wannabe-toughie crumbled to tears!)

A Stellar Kind of Education
Last Thursday, despite scorching heat, the BFF and I went furniture hunting all the way to Caloocan City. (You know, seeing that there is not a single day that goes by that this mad obssessed woman does not feel the urge to talk about interior or house designs) After our field trip, decided to tag along to one of her class in De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. She's become one of those part time faculties in the school's design and arts department. And might I say, WOW! - Not for the BFF's career trajectory, although equally as wowable, but really more for the fantabulous building design that can be seen along the stretch of Taft Avenue.

A Brand New Day
After months and months of planning, canvassing, meeting with architects and engineers, haggling, scoping or just plain 'ol driving the fiance nuts with gazillions of design trivia, TODAY marks the first day of our big house renovation. With just three hours of sleep (blaming myself for picking last night as the night to marathon season 2 of Brothers and Sisters) got up at 7 this morning, excited for the fiance to pick me up to meet our crew. Sigh. It's like the first day of high school all over. Sheer delight!
AND I thought I was bridezilla with my OC-madness but this house project has taken the OC-ness to a whole different level. Yes, sometimes I think the fiance wants to take back the ring from sheer exasperation. "Bee, kahit anong color ok lang, promise!" This, after the 5Oth time that I have tried to explain the science behind the dirty kitchen's color scheme. It has actually come to the point wherein I would much rather spent the entire afternoon walking around Home Depot looking for the perfect wood laminates or wall tiles than hang around with actual people. It's a bad case of addiction. With the BFF, who works in publication, as my drug dealer and copies of MY HOME magazines as the perfect drug. Must be strong. MUST MUST try to act normal!

Happy Easter!!
Hey guys, apologies for not posting anything in awhile. There were a lot of Holidays the past two weeks and most everyone I know kinda took advantage of those off days.
Just got back from a three day stay at the fiance's place in Tagaytay. Call it a little practice vacationing with the in-laws before we're officially Mr. and Mrs. I hate traveling anywhere by land during holy week. Traffic sucks big time. And slex is a far cry from the smooth pavements of sc-tex. Imagine, it took us 3 hours to reach home sweet home in Tagaytay. That's an hour and half over the average rate! Gawd!
Randomness:
I MISS family computer games. Thanks to my future brother in law, I got a chance to act like I'm 13 again and play THE Super Mario Brothers (the old school version, of course), Twin Bee, B-Wings, Gradius and a whole slew of early 90's game. Sweet sweet memories!
I love hanging around at BFF's place. From bbq grills to hot pot sessions, luau to dessert parties, game and poker nights to just plain ol drinking spree, it has become the gang's own series' IT place. Just before breaking for the three day holy week-end, the gang was once again at BFF's place to gorge on yummy catered food. Ahh love it!
I have this weird love-hate relationship with Facebook. It's like being in rehab. I absolutely despise it but for the life of me, I cannot not check my account time and again. My first beef against the friendly social network is the barrage of updates one gets through the mail. In fact I have permanently tagged all emails from this site as spam. And while I know curiosity is almost second nature to this generation, no one really needs to know what you just ate/drank/watched/saw/heard/felt every five minutes. Not to sound like a hypocrite (seeing that I blog about my misadventures from time to time) I am not against wanting to broadcast to the world how fun snowboarding is or what not, BUT have a little restraint there, buddy. No one gets off by knowing you just chowed down a bowl of cereals or a can of Pringles. I refused to believe that we are a generation capable of making the mundane daily routines the highlight of one's day. There's got to be more to life, right? Hmm.

Happy April Fools
Happy April Fool's!!!
Just got back from having dinner with the fiance and Dupree. Of course, talk soon turned to house renovating. I seriously am getting way too excited about this project! The past two weeks, since we started with the demolition, I find myself laying awake at night just thinking about everything from the finishings, to the divisions but most especially the color scheme.
I spent this afternoon meeting with my interior designer friend Jezer (who worked on an event I organized back when I was still with Nestle) and thanks to his help I have finally narrowed the choices to three tones. The color scheme for our kitchen and of course the overall look for our house is starting to have a cohesion. Yay! This wouldn't be such a problem, me thinks, if I have spent more time during our Home Economics class listening to the damn color wheel. But with so many choices out there in the market, it can make anyone have 2nd, 3rd and even a million doubts. I can't wait to start buying furnitures!! Hehe
