I love Ricky Gervais at the Globes

I have always been a fan. He's usually the one bright spot in most awards shows, very witty and sadly mostly tagged as a presenter.  But this year he was tasked to be the very first host of the Golden Globes after god knows how long.  Huge undertaking to take.  I thought he was brilliant.  I especially love his jabs at Collin Farrel, Mel Gibson and fellow Brit, Paul McCartney.  Reading the reviews about his hosting stint, however leaves me feeling a little bit dismayed.  Critics seem to think he was both "unispired" and "toothless".  Why? Because he didn't come out and 'insulted' everyone in the room/ took only one sniped at NBC/ etcetera etcetera.  Hallerh?!? He was hosting an awards show not a roasting - I think it's a tad inappropriate to bash everyone.  The charmingly dry British humor he did I thought was spot on.  And now I can't wait to get the DVD of Intervention of Lying.

  1. Try this movie - GHOST TOWN - its a really good comedy w/ him in the lead role...

Its about him being a dentist and a jerk to everybody, having an accident and being dead for 7 minutes... Then being revived again... And he realizes he sees the dead and they realize they see him - and they always follow him and never leave him - so he makes a deal w/ the ghost - if he wins the ghost's still alive wife from the guy she's dating, he'll reward him by making sure he will never see them again... And so let the challenge begin ;p Brilliant movie... You gotta watch it...

    "tr3at ur mama 4 free"
