Looking Forward: Pearl Farm

Coming soon this July!!!

I know we just got back from Boracay, but I can't wait for our next trip to Davao.  Resort has been booked and packages have been settled (me thinks).  Albeit the summer season would be over by then, silly blogger cum beach bum can't hardly wait to parade around in her not-so-tiny bikini over at Pearl Farm.  Hopefully, the Nestle 14-day challenge and other hunger-busting-to-die-for diet tricks would pan out nicely by then.

Looking Forward: Weekend Wanderlust in Cebu

I've been to Cebu twice.  Both times for work.  And both times I only saw the wonderful walls of SM Cebu. Cue: sad pathetic music.  So I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend's trip to the place that gave birth to Lapu-Lapu, yummy Lechons and luxurious beaches.  Thankfully I'll be going with B-I-L's girlfriend, who's even more excited than this blogger and has been researching for fun ativities we could all do this weekend.

Looking forward to trying these things:

Looking Forward: Sushis, Sashimis, and Sumo

We just booked our hotels for up coming trip to Japan last night/early this morning. I am so stoked!  We were supposed to course it through our travel agent however her email quotations for the hotel rate sent major shockwaves through this blogger's heart.  Thank gawd for Agoda.com.  We got to the stay at the same business hotels for a fraction of the price, imagine it was $150-$200 lower per night! Think of all the sushi we could have eaten with those $$$!

Speaking of sushis I can't wait to have lunch at Gonpachi in Tokyo.  I have been eyeing their menu for the longest time now and I'm just three weeks away from satisfying my earthy cravings.

A little taste of Tokyo

2010 is turning out to be a great year for trips.  The Hubby and I are going to Pearl Farm this Holy Week and Boracay just before April ends.  But what's really getting me all super excited is our impending trip to JAPAN!  I'm a huge anything-japanese lover (ok, maybe not so much love for their porn industry hee)

I can't wait to stroll down the streets of Shinbuyu, ogle Japanese youths over at Harajuki, shop at Ginza, maybe catch a little Geisha performance over at Gion, or maybe enjoy watching fat boys with barely an underwear on sweat it out (too bad there's no sumo competition this April, I'd have to settle for the practice sessions)

We're not leaving until the 9th of April so I get my little Japanese fixes from eating Japanese food made in the Philippines in the meantime. Hee.

Looking Forward: No Day But Today

One of my all time favorite musicals is coming back once again.  Already got tickets for the Feb 14 show.  Thank you trusty Nestle friends, I knew I could count on you for things like this hee.

Looking Forward: Crocs Marathon

Good friend Jigs alerted us to this particular event. An apparent marathon convert, he has been running and running AND running different marathons the past few months. In an effort to get off my lazy bleep, the fiance and I, together with other friends (still trying to convince Benny) signed up for the September 13 Crocs Fun Run on the SM Mall of Asia grounds. 5K baby, planning to finish this one before the 1-hour mark hits this time around.

There's a running clinic on the 6th of September for those who want to prepare for the event. Umm yeah I'm not yet on that level. I think we're going to sit this clinic out.

Next marathon, Adidas King of the Road. The fiance ran with Pammy and the rest of the gang last year. I, of course, slept soundly that morning. Too bad because the light blue singlet was an absolute gem to look at. Since we're planning to be health nuts this last two quarters of 2009, registering for this event is more and more looking like a go. Hmm I wonder if I can do that as early as now. It's a pretty nice singlet, noh?

Adidas KOTR is tentatively scheduled for October 25, 2009 Venue: Fort Bonifacio High Street

Looking Forward: Shoes shoes and more shoes

I was allergic to online shopping before. But every true shopaholic at heart knows that sooner or later, there is no escaping the powers of Amazon.Com. Last Friday I have finally succumbed to The temptation. I'm blaming my sister for this, for eagerly telling me that she can get things shipped from the States without paying for the freight cost. Plus looking at the cost - you can just see why I am not buying Nine West in the malls EVER anymore! More than 50% off than tag!!

So here goes, my shopping cart:

Added:
Nine West Readonly Sandals. $22.68

To be Added:

Nine West Nodine Ankle Boots. For my trip to Japan next March?

Nine West Ideally Boots $97.90

Nine West Joyrides Ankle Boots. $118.90

Nine West Usman flat gladiator. It's still at $71+ now, waiting for it to drop down to $34 like its Ivory counterpart

Looking Forward: Boots Shopping

I found this perfect site to satisfy my boots cravings. And yes, I need this badly, because I seriously cannot afford to keep on buying expensive shoes on a whim. Getting married you know, must be a wee bit practical nowadays, well at least until the sting of paying for the last red boots subside .

Ankle Boots around Php 2150
Brown Suede Knee high boots around Php 2450 (Such a steal!!!)

This and more at my favorite shoe site.. shoecrazeee.multiply.com

Sigh. Must R--E--S--I--S--T temptations!

Wedding Update: Much Ado About STDs

Happy happy.. I finally got to printout our save the date cards. Thanks to dear BFF Carol for taking care of the design. It's absolutely adorable and completely meshes with our wedding theme.

With so many important and not so important engagements people are tending to, Save The Date cards are fast becoming popular nowadays. It is usually given months before the release of the wedding invitation especially to people who are a bit forgetful (ahem ahem tong!) or to those who frequently travel or coming elsewhere.

Printed fifty copies to hand out this weekend. :)

It's officially116 days before THE WEDDING. Let the insanity begin!

Looking Forward: Mad Mondays & Thrifty Tuesdays

Sofitel has one of the best hotel buffets in town. With a myriad of Japanese, Chinese, Italian, American and Indian choices, it's enough to satisfy any one's distinctive taste palette. And I can't wait to once again go with friends, loosen our belts and have a fabulous time carrying out our favorite sin, gluttony.

Looking Forward: A House to call Home

I am a wannabe interior designer. And I can't believe that it is only of late that I have discovered this uber fantastic site, www.elledecor.com. Since chancing upon the site, I have been getting loads and loads of inspirations for current renovation project. I just hope dear furniture maker can translate them into reality.

For Dear Fiance and I's house, we've decided to go with a monochromatic theme - only whites, beiges and dark browns. The look we're going for is a Modern Contemporary home. And thankfully my obsession with Elle has led me to the oh so fateful discovery of Poltrona Frau. I am considering having these sofas by Frau (see images below) copied by our dear furniture maker. This, despite numerous advice from well-meaning married friends, that a white couch will cause a lot of heartache and headache, I seem to be developing this sickness that has suddenly given me selective hearing. I will most likely not heed despite their good intentions. It's just too damn pretty! Oh well I guess what better way to solve this dilemma but to just to issue a resounding threat (You spill. You pay!) and pray to the universe that they are not as disastrous as the homeowner.

Looking Forward: More Summer Getaway

Summer is definitely here. A few days ago, blogged that one of the MUST-DO this year is to continue on with the traveling. Started the year just right with a couple of out of towns and country trips and now that summer is approaching I can't wait to get on my bikini once again and hit the beach.

April 26 - 30 : Trip to Sorsogon with the gang. Whale watching/swimming. I am excited. By this time next year half of the gang will either be engaged or married so we really need this to be the last big wild hoorah for the single folks! (yours truly included!)

May 8 - 13 : Boracay Trip with the COT and consequently fiance and his friends. Some of my friends from work have longed planned to attend the Nestea Beach Volley at Boracay and what better time than now. I'm just so happy I found out that the fiance and his friends are also going on those same dates. Woopie! More r&r for me and the future hubby then!

Yey! I'm going to be broke after this!

Looking Forward: 2009 Highlights

Hmm now that I have more time on my hands, I have decided to channel my energy to something notable but definitely still a million miles to go before reaching Angelina-esque-globe-trotting ways.

1. Learning to drive - ahhh this has been part of all of my major "things to do/accomplish before 20-25-30" lists. I wonder why I keep putting it off. Hmm could it be that the thought of being mutilated to death via a painfully wretched truck ram is just not that appealing? But seriously I need to give driving another try. It sucks to do wedding and house renovating planning without a ride. I can't just wait for my mom to give me one. I'm freaking 26 already! And, yes, don't even get me started on taking the freaking mrt or any sorts of public transportation - heatwave anyone!?!

2. Setting up our business - So the lip service I tell people at work why I quit is that I will be setting up my own tutor center. And while that isn't exactly the juiciest gossip anyone wanted to hear, the truth of the matter is a tutor center is really on the works. And the fiance and I are trying to put it up before this year's June classes begin.

3. Eventscaping - The fiance has been the major backer for this. And while he prolly mistakenly thinks I am slacking off with this long ago plan with friends, he does not know is that I actually already have printed calling cards for this one. Take that fiance! Hee. Now all I need are lazy folks who do not know the difference between a 2000 and 4000 lumens screen.

4. More blogging. More writing - Something I would totally do for free, and have been doing so for awhile now. But not to brag or anything... (ooh, or maybe I am! :) hehe) I actually had pieces published on Philippine Star and Inquirer once upon a time. Got paid really lousy money for that but heck definitely gave the ego a massage while it lasted. My plan for this year is to join yet another stupid writing gig and hope to score some by lines at least :)

5. Travelling with the buddies - This year I have seen parts of Western Visayas (Dumaguete and Siquijor) and have finally made it states-side (if only to get my visa stamped) Hoping that as the months ensue there will be more trips ahead. Looking forward to the Boracay trip with the COTs this May. So far that's the only one in the works... Hmm wonder if it's time to start rallying the other bum-ers like me.

Looking Forward: Tropical Vacation

It's official, only 28 days to go until good friend Jeanie and I fly to Hawaii for our much needed R&R.

Already parted with hard earned and not so hard earned moolah yesterday to pay for the deposit, we're just now waiting for confirmation that our cheapo hotel choice still has rooms. Crossing fingers and toes...otherwise this humble blogger thinks camping it out on the beach sounds like a brilliant adventure.

On a different note, I will be out for a week guys tending to my Kick-Off duties! Will let you know how the event I am handling turns out.

Current Obsession: My Little Angel

Ok, my sister's little angel is more accurate

Before leaving for yet another day tripping to Tagaytay later this afternoon, i just wanted to upload a couple of cutesy images courtesy of my ever growing but always adorable niece. She will be turning 1 two months from now. And dear god-parent moi is getting excited with party planning for her celebration!

Sigh how time flies...she was just this small before..

But now...look at her, she's already a rockerstar princess!

Looking Forward: November 29, 2009 - The BIG day

You opened the papers and global depression or economic meltdown headlines are what greets you. While being plunge into circa 1920s poverty state is frightening enough, the thought is doubly magnified when you are planning to get married in the near future. Certain ideas pop into your mind - do you minimize wedding expense to stave off future starvation? Afterall it's just one day compared to the rest of your lives, right? But then - you go watch the Us Girls special of Cheska Garcia's wedding and you realize - hell - the inner girly girl in you wants all that! The over the top frou-froup wedding!

And since you and Dear Fiance were finally able to find a date for your wedding - (thank you feng sui gods - that only took you 4 and half months -huff and puff! at the rate you were first going i thought Dear Fiance would have been given a chance to change his mind!! :P ) anyway, since the drama that was finding the date is officially closed you have taken the first steps to bridezilladom. Bring on the OC-fested gnatt chart, the theme and motif pegs, the powerpoint and colored print outs and so much more that Dear Fiance has openly verbalized, probably fearing bridezilla tantrums in the future, that when it comes to the frou frou and the design ideation he will just be in it for the ride, or to be exact he will just be nodding along throughout the ride. Granted - your OC-fested gnatt chart would make room for cost visibility for him. Oh darn!
