Wedding 101: The Wedding Design

Last Thursday, the fiance and I met with our wedding stylist. I sometimes feel bad whenever I drag the fiance in one of these meetings. I know guys cannot tell the difference between dark purple and plum, so why bother right? But dear fiance is sweet, he always feign interest partly because crazy bridezilla might have one of her "O! You're not really interested naman eh!" moments.

I'm very happy with this last meeting. It's the third time I have met with my stylist, but we pretty much have settled most of the discussion points

1.) Wedding reception theme
2.) Color Motif
3.) Flowers
4.) Table setting
5.) Stage setting
6.) Overall hall design
7.) Lights
8.) Church decorations
9.) Other important frou frou details

One of the things I was most concern about given that our reception was going to be held at 1Esplanade was the ceiling draperies. I was very adamant that they use full swags for the drapes, nevermind that the airconditioning at Esplanade comes from the above ceiling, so does the lights. The stylist warned that we might not be able to achieve full, FULL swags 'cause of those constraints but he will still try his darnest to make it look as grand as possible. Crossing my fingers that we get the swags of our dreams!!

Here are some sample swags:

Full swags run around Php 40,000 to Php 60,000 depends on the supplier and venue
Half swags normally cost around Php 20,000

  1. Nice nice nice....

Hey, I was blog surfing yesterday as I saw a blogging site called yummy-cebu.com.... They were having a contest about who will win one day at sandtrap for free, all expenses going to yummy cebu.... Well, 2 bloggers were really close, cuz the competition is all about who has the most likes, well, they started out as 8 likes and 7 likes.... 2 weeks later it became 29 and 29... and then until 38 38... and yesterday was the deadline.... at 6:00 pm it stopped... the LIKE WARZ which I watched with amusement ended at the international real time, 6:00 pm. sharp... and Dennies Siongco won, its on the site now... The standing was 63 to 60... and it was a well deserved prize for such an exciting battle.... My verdict, it's good to join yummy-cebu.com - if you write good blogs, well, see what happens? I'll give it a shot next time, maybe I'll end up having a gourmet dinner or a fun day in the swimming pool ,who knows what they're up to............. ;)
